    The teachers are lovely, but sadly abused. The director there literally screams at her staff. It is disgusting that anyone should be expected to tolerate such disrespect. We moved our little one to another child care centre because it is not right that small children should hear adults behaving like this. The management there were cramming too many people into the place for the Christmas concert until one concerned mother blew the whistle on them. That Mum is a hero because concerts after that were done in the hall next door which does have enough exits to be safe for that many people. She started out just asking if it was safe to have so many in there for the school concert. Management didn't check it out and fix the problem, they told that Mum not to worry about it. She learned it was unsafe and illegal, and went back to them again to let them know. She was told to mind her own business. She got the Local Council involved. They forced Management to arrange the gathering next door. The next week that Mum had her children's child care places taken away without warning. This has happened to a few families who had the guts to stand up to these management bullies, so nobody even tries to say anything any more. The only way to get them to fix problems is to log complaints the Department of Community Services or the National Childcare Accreditation Council without letting the bullies know. Who needs that kind of aggro? That is why we're not the only ones who have left Montessori Burwood.
